Makes it nice that you can get out and walk around the historic landmark. Bathrooms are clean. We stopped right after the solar eclipse so it was extremely busy. Not sure if it's like that all the time. I added some aerial photos to the site.
The bathrooms were clean. There was a few nice shaded picnic areas, a drinking fountain, and a nice memorial trail to Independence Rock. If you know about the Oregon Trail (or have played the game), you know that if the pioneers made it to Independence Rock by July 4th, they should be able to get through the mountains before the snow starts. The pioneers would sign their names on the rock. Today, we can't sign it, but there are numerous plaques with information and you can still climb the rock. A great place to stretch on the trail.
Great for Tv's. Dump tanks, potable water fill up. Clean facility's. Well maintained, perfect location.
Clean warm modern well maintained. Also has passive solar system.
